Canon Macro Ring Lite Mr-14ex Manual Pdf. Hi, I know this post is most likely too late but you don't need the Vuescan program for the epson 1240u. I found a while back a epson drive that had been modified to allow it to allow to install the epson perfection 1240u on Vista 64.I'm USING it right now and works great on W7 64 bit but is for U.S.

Epson 1240u Driver Windows 7 64 Bit

Its called EPSON_PERFECTION_1240U_VISTA_x64_DRIVER_-_US_ONLY. I have it and its about 9 mb. Just google it.its all over google with rapidshare links or if you want me to email it just send email to (remove the -'s). I installed a new HP PC for the next door neighbor and all software and devices purr along just fine EXCEPT the Epson 1240U scanner. The Device Manager complains that the driver is not usable.

I go to the Epson website and download the only 32bit Twain driver they offer for Vista. Go thru all the directions and tried it 2 or 3 times. Uninstalled everything and did it over. Resetter Canon Pixma Mg2470 Google there.

The driver Epson offers is from March 2007. Questions: 1) Is there an Epson driver for the 1240U that actually works under Vista? 2) Without having to buy some 3rd party driver? What is the best solution?

Hi, I too went round the houses with exactly this same issue. I understand the other fixes that have been listed here, but really - shouldn't it just 'work'. This is Windows 7, and you can't install a scanner?????? So I happened to have a Ubuntu installation on another disk, which I am new to.

Fired it up, Applications, Graphics, Simple Scan. And it scanned, I didn't even have to configure a thing, gave me a choice of file types and destinations. Everything I needed, nothing I didn't - now THAT is how you do it. I had heard that W7 was better - it seems it is just as pathetic as every awful version before it, Microsoft seem to just stumble from one catastrophe to another these days. Give Ubuntu a go mate - it's free, it's easy and it just works. Hi, I know this post is most likely too late but you don't need the Vuescan program for the epson 1240u.
