I did a lot of reading about which laptop to get (I have a few thinkpads but saw the whitelist bios issues and decided it wasn't worth it), and ended up going with a elitebook / probook. I installed 16gb of ram, a Broadcom BCM94352HMB wifi card, and am waiting for a 500gb Samsung 850 to come in.
